Personal Assistant Job Description
The PA will conserve the employer's time by maintaining calendars; managing communication through emails, phone calls and meetings; keeping information confidential.
Maintains employer's calendar by setting, monitoring and confirming appointments; reminding employer of schedules; developing itineraries.
Protects employer's time by screening, researching, and managing correspondence, messages, telephone calls and resolving issues.
Arranges activities and services by identifying and clarifying needs; researching options.
Anticipates assistance needed by identifying problems, needs, options and solutions before being asked.
Provides secretarial services by drafting correspondence; transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying and transmitting text, data and graphics; establishing and maintaining files and records; collecting and analyzing information; preparing reports.
Maintains employer's privacy by keeping information confidential.
Maintaining personal networks.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
